1000x leverage means you can control a position 1,000 times larger than your margin. With $100 USDC as margin and 1000x leverage, you control a $100,000 notional position. If the asset moves 0.1% in your favor, you profit $100 (doubling your margin). If it moves 0.1% against you, your entire $100 margin is liquidated. High leverage massively amplifies both gains and losses — always trade with risk you can afford to lose entirely.

Rocket Perps trades execute against an oracle price feed rather than an order book. When you open a position, there is no counterparty matching — your position opens instantly at the current oracle price, powered by Aark Digital's infrastructure. This means zero slippage, zero front-running, and instant execution regardless of position size. The oracle aggregates prices from multiple trusted sources to produce a tamper-resistant reference price.

A perpetual futures contract (perp) is a derivative that lets you speculate on the price of an asset — going long (betting price rises) or short (betting price falls) — without owning the underlying asset. Unlike traditional futures, perps have no expiry date; you can hold a position indefinitely. Positions are marked-to-market continuously against the oracle price. Funding rates periodically balance long vs. short open interest to keep the perp price anchored to spot.

Going long means you're betting that the asset's price will rise. If you open a long position on BTC at $50,000 with 100x leverage and BTC rises to $51,000 (+2%), your profit is 2% × 100 = +200% of your margin. If BTC falls to $49,500 (-1%), you'd lose 100% of your margin (liquidation). Long positions profit when price goes up and lose when price goes down. Going short means you're betting that the asset's price will fall. If you short BTC at $50,000 with 100x leverage and BTC drops to $49,000 (-2%), your profit is 2% × 100 = +200% of your margin. If BTC rises to $50,500 (+1%), you'd lose 100% of your margin (liquidation). Short positions profit when price goes down and lose when price goes up. The liquidation price is the oracle price at which your entire margin is consumed by losses, and your position is automatically closed. At 1000x leverage, a 0.1% adverse move liquidates you. At 100x, a 1% adverse move liquidates you. At 10x, a 10% move liquidates you. Rocket Perps shows your liquidation price before you open a position. Never trade more margin than you can afford to lose entirely, especially at very high leverage.

Rocket Perps uses USDC as margin collateral. Deposit USDC to your trading account, set your margin amount for each trade, and your P&L is settled in USDC. Using a stablecoin as margin means your collateral value doesn't fluctuate while positions are open — only your position's P&L changes. You can withdraw unused USDC margin at any time with no lockup period.

No slippage. Because Rocket Perps trades execute against an oracle price feed rather than an order book, there is zero price slippage on any position size. You always open and close at the exact oracle price shown — whether your position is $100 or $10 million. This is one of the key advantages of oracle-based perpetuals over traditional DEX order books where large orders can move the market against you.

Funding rates are periodic payments between long and short traders that keep the perpetual price anchored to the spot oracle price. When more traders are long than short, longs pay funding to shorts. When more are short than long, shorts pay longs. Funding rates are calculated based on the spread between perp price and oracle price, and are charged every few hours. Funding can be positive (you receive it) or negative (you pay it) depending on market imbalance. Check the Rocket Perps app for current funding rates on each market.

Rocket Perps charges a small opening/closing fee on each position (typically 0.05–0.1% of notional size) and funding rates that are paid between long and short traders. There are no deposit or withdrawal fees. Gas fees are minimal depending on the underlying chain. Yes. Rocket Perps is fully non-custodial. Your USDC margin, open positions, and unrealized P&L are managed entirely by Aark Digital's audited on-chain smart contracts. Rocket Perps never takes custody of your funds. You interact directly with the contracts via your own wallet. You can withdraw any unused margin at any time — no approval process, no lockup. Your keys, your funds.

A perp CEX (like Binance Futures) holds your funds custodially, requires KYC, and runs on centralized servers that can be hacked, shut down, or frozen. A perp DEX like Rocket Perps is non-custodial — your funds stay on-chain in audited contracts, no KYC, no central point of failure. The tradeoffs: CEXes typically have higher liquidity and more markets; DEXes have better censorship resistance, transparency, and self-custody. Rocket Perps combines DEX self-custody with oracle-based instant execution comparable to CEX UX.

No — you cannot lose more than your deposited margin. Rocket Perps uses an isolated margin model where each position's maximum loss is capped at the margin you allocated to that position. When the price hits your liquidation level, the position is closed and your margin is consumed — but you cannot go into negative balance. This is different from some traditional futures markets where adverse moves can cause losses beyond your deposit. However, your entire margin can still be lost instantly at high leverage.

Rocket Perps uses the oracle price feed provided by Aark Digital, which aggregates prices from multiple trusted sources including centralized exchange price feeds and on-chain DEX prices. The oracle produces a tamper-resistant reference price that is used for all trade executions, P&L calculations, and liquidation triggers. Because the oracle aggregates multiple sources, it is resistant to manipulation by any single exchange or price feed. The oracle price is displayed in real-time in the Rocket Perps cockpit.

The Rocket Perps leaderboard ranks traders by realized P&L, number of trades, max leverage hit, and total points earned. Every trade — win or lose — earns you points toward the leaderboard. Top traders receive protocol rewards distributed at the end of each season. The leaderboard is public and on-chain, so rankings are transparent and verifiable. Seasons typically run for 30 days, with a new leaderboard reset and reward distribution at the end of each season.

The minimum margin per position is $5 USDC. With 1000x leverage, a $5 margin controls a $5,000 notional position. There is no maximum position size, though very large positions may be subject to position size limits to ensure the protocol's liquidity reserves aren't strained. The arcade UI is designed for frequent, small-to-medium trades — think gaming sessions, not long-term fund management. For institutional-sized positions, use Aark Digital's main interface directly at app.aark.digital.

When the oracle price reaches your liquidation price, a liquidation engine automatically closes your position. Your margin is consumed, and a small liquidation fee goes to the protocol's insurance fund. You receive nothing from a liquidated position — it's a total loss of the allocated margin. The Rocket Perps cockpit shows your liquidation price clearly before you open a position. At 1000x leverage, liquidation can happen from a 0.1% price move — always be aware of how close your liquidation price is to the current oracle price.

An insurance fund is a pool of capital that covers the protocol in case of rapid price moves that cause positions to go negative before liquidation can execute (called "bad debt"). Aark Digital maintains an insurance fund funded by liquidation fees. If a liquidation results in bad debt (the position goes below zero before it can be closed), the insurance fund absorbs the loss. This protects other traders from socialized losses. A healthy insurance fund is a key indicator of a well-managed perpetuals protocol.

The trading infrastructure powering Rocket Perps is built and audited by Aark Digital. Aark's smart contracts have been audited by independent security firms. Rocket Perps' own interface does not hold user funds — all fund custody is through Aark's contracts. However, all leveraged trading carries significant risk of total loss. Smart contract risk, oracle failures, and extreme market volatility are all possible. Never trade with more than you can afford to lose completely.

In isolated margin mode (Rocket Perps default), each position has a fixed margin allocation — your maximum loss per position is capped at what you put in. If that position is liquidated, your other funds are safe. In cross-margin mode, your entire account balance is used as collateral across all positions — positions can use each other's unrealized profits to avoid liquidation, but a series of bad positions can liquidate your entire account. Rocket Perps uses isolated margin by default, making it safer for high-leverage arcade-style trading.

Spot trading means buying or selling the actual asset — you own BTC after a buy, and sell it later. Your maximum loss is 100% of your investment (if the asset goes to zero). Perpetuals trading means speculating on the price without owning the asset, with leverage amplifying both gains and losses. With 1000x leverage, a 0.1% move = 100% gain or loss. Perps are far riskier but allow much larger exposure with smaller capital, and you can profit from price falls by going short — impossible in simple spot trading.

To close a position: go to your Open Positions tab in the Rocket Perps app, find the position you want to close, and click "Close Position." The position closes instantly at the current oracle price, and your P&L (profit or loss minus fees) is settled to your USDC balance. You can also set a take-profit or stop-loss order to close your position automatically when the price hits a target level — useful for arcade-style fast trades where you set your target and walk away.

Take-profit (TP) automatically closes your position when the price reaches a target level in your favor — locking in gains. Stop-loss (SL) automatically closes your position if the price moves against you to a set level — limiting your loss before liquidation. On Rocket Perps, you can set TP and SL when opening a position or after it's open. At very high leverage, stop-loss is critical — at 1000x leverage with no stop-loss, a 0.1% move can liquidate you before you can react manually.

Yes. Rocket Perps has a referral program that rewards you with points and fee rebates for every user you bring to the platform. Open interest (OI) is the total notional value of all currently open positions on a given market. High OI indicates high trading activity and market engagement. On Rocket Perps, you can see OI split between longs and shorts — the imbalance between long and short OI determines the funding rate direction. If long OI significantly exceeds short OI, longs pay funding to shorts (to incentivize more shorters to balance the market). Check the Markets section for live OI data on each trading pair.

During extreme volatility (e.g. a crypto flash crash), positions can be liquidated faster than normal market conditions. At 1000x leverage, even a 0.1% price move can trigger liquidation. Rocket Perps uses Aark Digital's oracle price feed which aggregates multiple sources to reduce susceptibility to single-exchange price spikes. However, cascade liquidations are possible in extreme markets. Best practice: use lower leverage during volatile periods, set stop-losses, and never put margin into a high-leverage position that you cannot afford to lose instantly.

Every trade on Rocket Perps earns you Rocket Points — regardless of whether you win or lose. Points are calculated based on notional trading volume, leverage used, frequency of trading, and holding positions through volatile periods. Points accumulate on your profile and can be exchanged for protocol rewards at the end of each season, including USDC fee rebates, trading credits, and governance tokens. The more you trade, the more points you earn — the gamification layer is designed to reward active participation, not just profitable trading.
